Hatherley Care Home comprise of old and new builds the oldest since 1891 which overlooks Saffron Walden common and very close to the town centre which has all amenities. We are a Residential care home offering residential and dementia care. Hatherley has been furnished to a high standard, providing elegance and comfort with a home from home feel; although residents can bring some of their own furnishings for their room, which will make it feel more like home.
We believe Hatherley is your home and we'd like you to treat it as such. There are no fixed visiting hours so friends and family can come and see you at any time and stay for meals if they wish, all our meals are home cooked by our two wonderful cooks. We have an activities co-ordinator who organises outings, entertainment, residents meetings or just a trip into town for shopping or coffee in the local cafe.
The homely feel at Hatherley is created by our staff; our team have been carefully selected not only for their professional ability but also for their commitment to truly making a difference for the people in our care. Our team of Residential care co-ordinators and carers provide round-the-clock care and support for each resident according to their individual needs. District nurses visit daily, we have hairdresser visits twice weekly and a chiropodist visits every six weeks or when required. You may wish to keep your own GP or choose any surgery in Saffron Walden.
